I have the mag article mentioned earlier. pdq67 PS., and fwiw, there are regular large oval port BB heads out there that have 1.84" and 1.94" intake valves and 1.66" exhaust valves.

Honestly, the small drop in compression will be more than made up for with the much better flow.
