WebI would much rather have Gengar, Lucario, Dragonite and even Sierfetch'd. Since the writers insisted on Ash gettimg new mons, i am glad he caught Dragonite, Lucario, Gengar and Sirfetch'd. I would have replaced Dracovish with something like Clefable to give Ash a powerful fairy type. But i would keep the rest of the team the same. WebMuk just does not feel to me like a Pokémon Ash would catch. But Nidoking is a cool looking Poison/Ground type that could be owned by Ash and it fits him according to me. He would also catch it as a Nidorino, then evolve it into a Nidoking while fighting the Team Rocket Trio for his last Gym Badge. Notable other changes in my headcanon: Johto:
